The Hare and Hounds is a delightful traditional English pub located in Layer Breton Essex, tucked away in the countryside between Colchester and Tiptree.

Not only is there a chic and relaxing restaurant with delicious lunchtime and evening food, there is also a vast selection of real ales and fine wines.

The Hare and Hounds also offer luxury bed and breakfast accommodation in its two converted barns which have been moulded into gorgeous out houses that we like to call Lodges.
